This is one of those things that you don’t know you need until you know it exists. I WANT!!

The premise is absolutely simple: Pick something you want to remember, fit it into a category on the app, and based on your settings it will remind and test you about the fact. Over and over again until you’ve remembered it. It’s like artificial memory, or nagging notes. (via This App Will Train Your Brain To Remember Anything)

Extend Your HelloWorld App with a Toast Message

Not too long ago we brought you a step-by-step tutorial on how to make your own HelloWorld App created by XDA Forum Member rezo609. Now, Senior Member coolsandie has taken the reigns and brings us the next step—adding a toast message to your HelloWorld app.

Now, for those who took the first step and have a working HelloWorld app, this tutorial takes it up a notch. This step goes a little deeper into Android app development with some basic coding. You will learn how to edit the strings.xml file to add another node.

Other things include designing a GUI and learning to modify Java code. The tutorial is quite detailed, and includes pictures to keep the learning process painless.  The author has also included links for definitions and more in-depth explanation of what’s involved with this step. This allows the student to not only succeed, but to fully understand each element and it’s function within an Android app.

If you’re ready to take the next step towards Android app development, head over to the original post.
